Mahmood Amintoosi is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. He has been in the field since 1999, with research interests spanning from Machine Learning, Super-Resolution, Computer Vision, Automated Timetabling, and Combinatorial Optimization. Mahmood received his BSc degree in Mathematics (with a specialization in Computer Science) in 1994 and his MSc degree in Computer Engineering (with a specialization in Software Engineering) in 1998 from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. His MSc thesis titled "Genetic Neuro-Nester for 2D Nesting Problems to Find the Global Minima with Rotation and Reflection of Figures" was supervised by Prof. Reza Monsefi. After teaching for seven years at Hakim Sabzevari University's Mathematics department, he pursued his PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Iran University of Science and Technology under the supervision of Prof. Mahmood Fathy and Dr. Nasser Mozayani. Mahmood graduated in 2011 and returned to teach at Sabzevar University until relocating to Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in 2023.
Mahmood Amintoosi is an experienced professional in the fields of Machine Learning, Data Mining, MATLAB, and LaTeX. He has a significant amount of knowledge in these areas, having taught them several times throughout his career. Mahmood is also an expert on LaTeX, having contributed to CTAN (ctan.org/author/amintoosi) and published a book on the subject. His proficiency in LaTeX allows him to produce reports automatically using programming languages, further demonstrating his technical expertise and programming skills.
